A conflict of interest arises when a person in a position of authority over an organization may benefit financially from a decision he or she could make in such a capacity, including indirect benefits such as to family members or businesses with which the person is closely associated. This policy applies to all members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director, and the Project Director.

This Statement of Economic Interest Form should indicate whether the Board Member, Executive Director, and Project Director has an economic interest in, or acts as an officer or a director of, any outside entity whose financial interests would reasonably appear to be affected by decisions of the North Mississippi Education Consortium. The Board Members, Executive Director, and Project Director should disclose any personal, business, or volunteer affiliations that may give rise to real or apparent conflict of interest.
