We are searching for up to five individuals with disabilities to serve as honored spotlight speakers. If chosen, as a spotlight speaker, the spotlight speakers would need to be available to present a 5-10 minute slideshow detailing how a teacher or mentor has impacted their success in post- secondary life.

At the opening session of the MS CEC fall conference, the spotlight speaker presentation will follow the presentation by our honored guest, Lance Evans, PhD., MS State Superintendent of Education, on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
The MS CEC will ensure spotlight speakers are provided one night hotel stay, on Sunday, September 22, 2023 or on Mondy, September 23, 2024 night to any spotlight speaker more than 75 miles from the Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo, MS. Spotlight speaker will need to indicate on the application form if they are requesting hotel stay and which night they would need the hotel accommodation.

To apply, complete the application below. Applicants should apply on or before August 1, 2024. All applicants will be notified on or before August 10, 2024 whether they are selected or not. Selected applicants must sign a waiver for social and news media release.
